Here's one more book on infrared from the company that publishes "The Art
of Infrared Photography" and "Infrared Nude Photography".
Infrared Photography Handbook

A lot more technical information than the other two books. I found it quite
useful for shooting infrared - for example, how EI affects the look of the
images (by utilizing toe or shoe portion of the film's characteristic
curve). Mostly about Kodak HIE though some comparison of Kodak and Konica
films. One shortcoming of this book, though, is that it's very short on
processing info - nothing much beyond what's supplied by Kodak and Konica
literatures. Coupled with information from IR FAQ and other very helpful
web pages by some of the members here, however, I found this book very
helpful as a novice IR shooter.
I found this book at a New York bookstore, A Photographers Place. They do
mail order as well, and have excellent selection of photography books.
Phone: 212-431-9358, Fax: 212-941-7920. I realize many on this list are not
in the U.S., though...
