Since we're talking about books about IR, I'm surprised that nobody has
mentioned Photography by Infrared by Walter Clark.  This is, by far, the
most comprehensive book written anout infrared photography.  The
shortcoming is that the book is no longer in print and can't be found in
bookstores.  You can, however, get it through interlibrary loan.  This
is THE book to look at, and is well worth the hasstle of waiting several
weeks for the library to obtain.
