I'd bet that so long as you focused with the filter on (which would be
TOUGH!), and so long as the glass in your lens didn't have a huge
dispersion jump at longer wavelengths, it should work fine.  Not that
I've tested it, so don't take that as gospel.

Say, I've got a roll of HIE in the fridge, waiting to do some exposure
tests this weekend.  I'll give that a try and see what happens.
