Yes, the book is an excellent one.  Although they could have expanded a 
little more upon the IR.  I too think it is a good manual, it teaches a 
lttle of practically everything.  It is also popular as a assigned book 
in schools.  And compared to what some books can cost (as a student), it 
not that expensive.
