My main sources were and are two German books:

- "Infrarot, Fotografie auf andere Wellenlaenge", by Rudolf
Hillebrand (with Andy Davidhazy as reference!). Verlag Photography,
Schaffhausen (Switzerland). ISBN 3-7231-0019-8. 112 pages A4
Artsy, but also some background. Includes the only 4x5" b&w IR I have
ever seen.

- "Moderne Infrarot- und UV- Fotografie", by Guenter Spitzing.
Augustus Verlag Augsburg 1992. ISBN 3-8043-5494-7
Two previous editions, 1968 (would love to find one!) & 1979 (also in
Dutch, which I have).
Very technical, the most detailed and experimental book I have
ever seen. Close to scientific level. Goes deep into details,
including history and related subjects (night vision, thermovision).
Cor will agree with me that this is though stuff. I still find things
I overlooked the many times I read it sofar. You can't read this in
one time. 214 pages A5.
