IR transmitting laquer

Thinking about the recent posts re flash exposure of IR film...

Somewhere, buried deep in either a book or my files, I have a recipe 
for a laquer that, in the past, (perhaps a previous life) I used to coat 
various flash bulbs (yes those big ugly finger melting things that still 
reside in a box in my darkroom) to expose IR film without any 
visible (or as one James Henderson has called it *hominid *) light 
being seen.

I have been thinking that it *could* perhaps be applied to a plastic 
cover placed in front of an electronic flash unit.
If there were any demand for the recipe I could hunt it out and 
forward to the list.
