My first Kodak HIE....with a lightleak?

Hi gang,
Last weekend I shot my first roll of Kodak HIE. I developed it in
D76 (I know I asked for the development times in TMAX but this was
temporarily unavailable and I really wanted to see the results).
The results were surprisingly good, at least surprising to me. All
negs were printable and there were some real pretty ones. I like
this film!
To determine the exposure I used the TTL readings of my Pentax P30
set to 100 ASA and then put on the my Wratten #29 filter. I
bracketed around one stop. This worked very well. I took shots on
both a sunny and a cloudy day and found that:
- On sunny days the original TTL reading gave the best results.
- On cloudy days, as well as in the woods under the foliage one stop
more ligth was needed to produce nice negs.
There was however one minot problem. The pictures extended to parts
of the film that should not be exposed, especially on the upper and
lower part. It looks like some ligthleak during exposure, maybe the
shutter? Has anyone seen this before or does anyone have an
explanation for this?
Thanx,
Marcel
