Hi gang,
In the thread about the 20mm/f5.6 Russar screw mount lens: from the
email below it seems as if Canon rangefinders are indeed the
(darkloading) way to go (although the price is not the bargain I
expected):

Hi Wliiem,
I just bought a Canon 7 rangefinder which takes all Leica lenses, has a
built in 35mm,50,85/90mm,and 135mm finder. The S7 has a selium meter but the
last of the rangefinder Canons the 7S has a CdS meter. Very tough camera,
strong and reliable from the comments I have recieived and the tests I have
done. All the advantages of a modern design to equal to M series except the
bayonet mount -AND THE BACK OPENS AND LOADS like any normal camera! Compared
to screw Leicas they are a real bargin because there is not as much of a
collecto'rs cult for old Canon gear. I paid 295 British pounds for mine last
month in London with the 50mm f/1.4 lens. I would say the camera is Mint-
condition. Have a look around
regards,
Doug
