The one he posted of mine was from a Photo-CD I had made of flower
shots.  I forget which resolution I chose, but I think it was
next-to-finest.  If it was, it presumably is overkill for a web site,
where presumed rule-of-thumb resolution is 72 pixels per inch.

Typical for Photo-CDs, in my experience, the shadow areas suffer in
translation.  Projected, they are a rich red-brown with detail that
seems to reach down into the deepest "layers."  In the scan, the color
is muddied and the value scale compressed.
