Konica IR versus Kodak HIE

Hi all,

I am new to the group so please bear with me as I ask some basic questions.
How does the Konica compare to the Kodak IR film in terms of contrast and
"halo" effect. I tried some of the Konica IR film in 120 medium format using
a 29a red filter and was disappointed with the results. I was shooting
grass, fields and trees in the distance with my camera set on 32 ISO (f/16 @
1/125 sec). The negatives looked fine but I did not get any "white" trees in
the backround; they stayed black. Would the Kodak film give me more of the
