Introduction: Zoe and Geoffrey Johnson

My name is Zoe Johnson and I am a computer type at the University of New 
Mexico.  I come from a long line of photographers.  That said, I am 
subscribing mainly to pass information on to my son, Geoffrey Johnson.  
He is 16 and doesn't have his own email account, yet.  He is a 
photography student (junior in high school) and lab assistant in the 
school's photography lab.  He is fascinated with all forms of 
photography, but his current favorite is IR.  He is using both infrared 
and ultraviolet photography for his science fair project, which is 
looking for ultraviolet or infrared visible markings on birds.  Birds 
have tetrachromic vision which means they can see into the near UV.  Some 
maybe able to see into short IR.  It is an elaborate project that he is 
putting substantial time and effort into.  He has been state champion in 
Math two different years, and overall champion once.  As a junior, there 
are several thousand dollars in scholarships that can be received.
