Willem uses the unequivocal term "TTF" to specify when the meter
reading is taken through the filter (and, normally, through the lens
of a SLR).  Since this is a subject on which many of us are easily
confused, may I suggest that we all adopt that term whenever it's
appropriate?  Perhaps unfiltered metering--as with an independent,
hand-held meter--should then be referred to as "bare."
