Kayo--My mistake regarding asa and developing times. I'm on vacation this
week, so I blame my error on brain freeze. What I meant to say was that most
of the time, exposures with infrared film are bracketed, which is the
equivalent of changing the speed of the film. So , if you set the film speed
rating at say 100, and bracket 1 stop over and 1 stop under, you are
effectively changing the speed to 50 and 200 also. Each 1 stop increase
doubles the film speed and each 1 stop decrease halves the film speed. Of
course pushing and also pulling the films can also be done by rating the film
higher or lower than an established speed --with Kodak, I have established an
EI of 200, Konica, 50--and increasing or decreasing development times. As for
the orange filter vs. the red filter with Konica, my tests as well as info.
directly from Konica, the red will increase contrast,as it does with any
