Agreed. Even my edition barely mentions HIE as a new, super-speed
variant of the standard b&w IR film. The HIE instruction sheet is
missing from that section, which seems odd. If you were coming out
with a new super emulsion in such a specialized field, wouldn't you
hold publication of the booklet until you could make the new emulsion
its centerpiece? Apparently the booklet had been scheduled for
review, so they just went ahead on schedule with what they had.
