Bobbi and Folks

I have hand coloured b+w prints made from "normal" negs, but I guess that
won't make much difference.

I used Ilford Multigrade RC paper glossy surface, and used Spotone liquid
dyes to add the colour. Some images have had a pale wash, others I tones
specific places boldly and deeply (lips and leaves, that kinda thing).

I use liquid dyes because I like glossy prints and the deep blacks they
give, and the dyes don't change the surface texture much -- it makes the
prints look normal, not like they are obviously hand coloured with oils and
other colouring media.

My experience with hand colouring with the liquid dyes was only good: I
just sat down and did it, even my first attempt was a winner. It all seems
so easy... hey, maybe I'm not doing it right?! ;-)
