LD- yes, they will want to open the plastic canisters, which will ruin the
film. Either use a protective lead lined bag, which can be purchased at a
photo store,or walk the film( through the metal detector ) unopened in the
original paper boxes .What I did a few times--I brought some clear tape with
me and kept the original boxes. When I was done shooting, I just put the
plastic canisters back in the boxes and taped them closed. When I went back
through security upon my return, I walked the film through the metal detector
and when they saw the ''unopened'' boxes, no one bothered me.
