Hi,

In front of the film plane usually also means in front of the focal plane 
shutter (if that is what you have) and inside the mirror box. The Kodak 
web site has a page on "UV and IR Photography Summarized" (sorry, don't 
have the URL handy) that suggests placing the visually opaque filters 
behind the mirror (and infront of the focal plane shutter).
