Re: New IR User
Steve-- Personal experience with Kodak infrared is to use iso 200. Meter
exposures through the ttl meter and bracket exposures +- 1-11/2 stops from
the ''correct'' meter reading. After using the film awhile you will probably
find that you will need to stop the lens down rather than opening up from the
''correct'' reading, as the film tends to easily overexpose, based on a ttl
meter reading. The Cokin filter should work just fine. Yes the film must be
loaded and unloaded in total darkness. When you do find a lab to process your
film, let them know immediately that it is infrared, so they don't open the
plastic canister in the light, which would ruin the film. Also when shooting,
remember to adjust the focus to the infrared focusing mark on the lens. Hope
this info. helps.
