It is possible to archivally wash fibre based paper without wasting large
amounts of water. Do the following:

1 Wash for 10 minutes in clean running water at about 21 deg C.

2 place print in tray of clean water (still) for 20 minutes

3 replace water and repeat step 2) five more times.

If you are going to use fibre based paper, may I suggest Agfa Multicontrast
Classic? It has a warm tone that works well with IR. Be careful if you use
selenium toner; it has a tendancy to turn purple.
