Infrared tomtatoes

     Hey Ir'ers and Uv'ers,
     
     Just saw a photo in a local newspaper (free weekly named
     Express) of some tomatoes at a produce stand. The photo was
     obviously made with IR film, very cool effect on the tom's.
     
     Wondering if anyone has experience with similar types of 
     fruit and veggies; e.g. grapes?
     
     I live near Napa and am thinking about going on a little
     photo excursion....
     
     
     Also, I was wondering if anymore tests have been done with
     the Ilford red-sens. film? I have read in this digest about
     the similarity between Ilford's film and certain non-IR Kodak
     emulsions; can't remember which (Tech. Pan?) could someone
     who does know please comment?
