After many years in the business aned many thousands of contact sheets I
found that, unless you expose your proof sheet s with a point source
light, the plastic sheet will indeed cause a noticeably less sharp
image. Aconventional contact printer allows enough diffused light
through that small plastic layer to make them a little fuzzy. A point
source seems to correct that.
