Ron,

Thanks for the tips.  I printed out your message as well.  

I was speaking to my husband at lunch time.  Putting in a sink in the basement
is not a problem.  It is where the water goes after it leaves the drain.  Seems
that we'd have to put a pump in to pump it up to the discharge line.  It can be
done but will cost dollars.  Putting a vent in to the outside isn't a problem,
nor is the space.  So the big thing is how to get the waste water out.
