Jeff,
If you purchases the Marshall's oils there should be an instruction booklet
included. I also use water color pencils, they give a beautiful effect.
Gouach (sp) works nicely as well. Just about any type of color that you can
get to stick will work. I have even seen people use chalk. I think they
probably used a spray fixer like you would on a charcoal drawing. For me
hand coloring is a treat. It's a chance to just sit still for hours and
experiment, what could be better?
