Kodak has shown very different interests than other film makers.  Why did it
take them *so* long to recognize what was going on with Velvia?  They missed
the market by *years*.  Same point with XP2.  I would find it totally
consistent with their relentless pursuit of the mass market if they dropped
HIE.  Their primary film activity right now appears to be driving APS, a
pointless exercise given the development activity in low end digital cameras
that is going on, which leave film for people who really want to take
photographs and as a result want products like HIE.
