Technical Pan

The (former) Swedish photo magazine Aktuell Fotografi (Jul/Aug 1987) had an
interesting article by Robert Malmstr=F6m about Kodak Technical Pan. He used
it as infrared film with the filter 88A. Without filter he used EI 50, which
gave
1/125 at f:16 in the test situation. With the filter the exposure was one=20
minute at f:4. As he remarks, this film cannot be used as an ordinary=
 IR-film=20
because of the long exposure times (moving targets are impossible), but the=
=20
result certainly looks like a very fine grain IR-picture. The developer he=
=20
used was HC-110 diluted 1+39. Developing time he used was 4 min at 20 degC
(68 degF).

The article contains two pictures of a very hazy landscape. The picture with-
out filter shows most haze, but the picture with the filter shows every=
 detail
of the landscape.

Hope somebody gets inspiration of this.

Note: the magazine referred here has gone together with another=
 magazine,Foto.

A. Pesonen, Finland
