I have a Wisner field camera with a leather bellows. I haven't tried
it, but when I talked to Ron Wisner about it, he says it is not IR safe.
Wisner does sell an "IR" bellows for the camera for $80. I just used my
8x10 camera with a reducing back (it's a Canham) and it works fine. I
have heard of no other specific cameras with problems, but I would guess
that there are some. I would be suspicious of any cameras with leather
bellows (not that there are many new cameras with leather bellows other
than the Wisner, the only other one I've heard of is the leather wide
angle bellows for the Arca Swiss cameras, and they also make a synthetic
version).
