HIE frozen since 1977

Hi,

This past summer, I acquired two 150 foot rolls of HIE film at a garage sale
for $2.00 CDN.  Thhe is dated JUL 1977 and had been sitting in a freezer
since then.  I want to thaw one can out this Christmas when I have some time
on my hands. What I want to know is if this film will still be good and, if
it is, will it have the sme characteristics as HIE film made today?

The film is identified as << HIE 421 >> and << HIGH SPEED INFRARED FILM 2481
>>.  Under << EMULSION >> is written the number << 89 - 14 >>.
