Kodak HIE & 4x5 Film Holders
I just bought a box of HIE 4x5 film....I've never used it before in this
format so I have a question or two, maybe three.
1. My 4x5 film holders are Lisco Regal II film holders. Now since they
are made of plastic is it possible to use them with the HIE? Are they
enough to block the upper wavelengths? I can't really afford to spend
$50 on metal film holders.
2. When using the 4x5 film holders should I expect any fogging because of
the type of light traps that are used in the Lisco holders? How much am
I looking at if any, and is there any ways of reducing the amount I will
lose? Some preventitive measures....and I promise not to leave them out
in bright sunlight :-)
3. Considering that each shot costs about $2 each, can I use a roll of
35mm HIE to test bracket and then apply those results to the 4x5 format?
I'm assuming that I could...I just want to be sure. Thanks again everyone.
Your truly,
Jim
