I don't think this will work.  The earlier film was not HIE, that is, it was
not High Speed Infrared, just ordinary infrared.  Since it's sensitivity was
less than the current HIE, you could get away with loading it in daylight
with the dummy leader.  With HIE, there may still be a problem with the felt
light trap, in addition to the light piping problems.

Blue to ultraviolet is definitely a NO-NO, but there may be a narrow range
of frequencies in the green part of the spectrum to which the film is less
sensitive.  I know this is true for Konica 750, but I'm not sure about HIE.
