I think that Francisco knows very well what "freezing film" means. He just
wanted to play with words, i.e. to try to make a joke, which wasn't understood.
He means that if the film really was frozen as water, it also would be hard
as ice, But as known, amorphic materials like plastic or butter don't have a
freezing point, they just have different temperatures, which he probably means
with "cooling down".
