- Name:
Bob Peak

- Profession/Study:
I used to be a Graphic Designer until nearly four years ago when my wife &
I cashed in all of our yuppie chips and bought bikes. At that time we
embarked on a bicycle trip around the world. During that time of travel
and self exploration, I taught myself photography. Now, I'm a struggling
photographer. I just received my first rejection.

- Country: USA

- Personal history of photography:
I shoot 35mm and 120. The 120 I shoot is in a panoramic camera called a
Brooks Veriwide 100. Made in the early 60s, with no metering, a fixed 47mm
Super Angulon lens, and because I was trying to shoot Fuji Velvia, I found
it very difficult to use while biking around the world. It is my aim to
use that camera for IR photography, although, I am trying to learn IR with
my 35mm.

- preferred subjects:
Bicycling, tastefully executed hi-energy shots, portraiture, nudes

- materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry):
Films I use are (in order of dependence so far): Fuji Velvia, Kodak E100S,
Kodak Infrared Film.

- format (35mm/medium format/large format):
35mm (Nikon F4) and Brooks Veriwide 100 using 120 film

- Other strange hobbies:
I am a veggie and love to cook. I learned much in our travels around the world.
Religions of the world and how they were sculpted by their people fascinate me.

- How did you find out about this list:
By surfing and searching for info in IR photography

- Expand on anything photographic you like:
I haven't actually begun shooting IR, but I know it is something I want to
do. I am in an information gathering stage. I have purchased film but
haven't purchased filters yet. I am still trying to determine which
filters I need. I haven't found any but I would like to see if anyone is
using IR for action shots (ie; smeared backgrounds, sharp focus on a person
(done by panning)).
