Warning: the following has nothing to do with photography. It does, however,
have something to do with communicating with others on electronic mailing
lists.

I've recently noticed several instances where individuals are including entire
mail messages--sometimes over a hundred lines in length--only to include a
couple of lines of content at the very bottom. Even for those who have high-
bandwidth network connections, this is a waste of networking resources and
inconsiderate of your audience (whom, it should be presumed, has already read
the message that you're responding to). For those who are at the back-end of
dial-up connections or online services that charge by connect time or by-the-
byte, this wasted time translates into wasted money.

If you need to include sections of a letter that you're responding to, please
edit the segments that you're including down to the bare minimum required to
make your point. If there are several sections that you'd like to comment
about, intersperse your comments instead of saving them for the bottom of the
message.

In short, efficient communications are effective communications.

Thanks,
--Nick
