Joe Paduano,
Thanks for clearing up the cost factor. I have paid as little as $8/roll
at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore when they had E-4 redimix, and paid as high
as $15/roll after JH ran out in late 1995 and I had to deal with one of
the 3 places Kodak (and an article in Petersen's Photographic mag) turned
me onto. That $15/roll was the cheapest of the 3, by the way.....highest
around $30/roll. I'll see what April brings with positive anticipation!
I still have 3 bricks of color IE (old 20 exposure rolls dated 1978) on
ice that a friend gave me. I trust Kodak will be able to process the old
version that needed to be done E-4. I haven't experimented with the cold
water E-6 that is supposed to work. Or using color negative developer
from a C-41 kit. I'm tempted to post a "guaranteed" recipe that involves
WD-40 and a mix of Spot-tone dyes, applied by brush to the super frozen
film while whirling a dead chicken over one's head and screaming the
lyrics to "I am the Walrus"....coo coo caa chooooo
Sorry, got carried away, or should be.
Thanks again. Also look forward to your soon to come out revised edition!
I will admit I don't like using D-19 to develop my HIE, however.....
Thanks, Tim Coffer
