Just got my Noblex filters for 135U. I can say now that the Noblex IS
infra-red friendly. The flim was loaded in a black bag, taken normally,
developed in D-76 and it came out fine! Onw word of caution though: install
the filter before loading the film, as the act of installing the filter will
fog any film behind the slit. In the case of infra-red this can cause many
frames to be fogged. 
Bottom line: go and shoot HIE in your Noblex 135, Don't worry, be happy!
