- Name: Bjxrn Rxrslett
(Norwegian names are notoriously difficult to write in English because we
have additional letters in our alphabet. If the name above looks strange,
try Bjorn Rorslett instead. My ears cringe by the mere thought of this,
however).

- Profession/Study: Senior research scientist, Ph.D. and professional nature
photographer. Affiliated with NN - Norwegian Nature Photographers.

- Country: Norway

- Personal history of photography : Involved in scientific and nature
photography for 35 years.

- preferred subjects: Experimental and creative nature photography.

- materials (film, filters, paper, chemistry): I work mainly with 35mm using
Fuji Velvia, Provia or Sensia 100, and RTP. The latter is my preferred film
for UV colour photography.

- format (35mm/medium format/large format): Do all of them. Mostly 35mm
(Nikon gear), or 6x9 (Arca-Swiss and Linhof equipment).

- Other strange hobbies: Does photography count?

- How did you find out about this list: on the Net, where else?

- Expand on anything photographic you like: My main reason for joining this
list is my profound interest in UV colour photography. As it happens, both
techniques, equipment and films for UV may apply to IR as well. I started
out with IR colour photography using infrared false-colour film in the early
1970's. Now, I find UV much more interesting and besides, UV photography
represents a challenge I simply cannot resist. Taking UV photography into
creative nature photography is even better. I have had award-winning UV
colour photographs published already and intend to expand the scope of my UV
photography in the future. Perhaps, even to the extent of combining UV and
IR bands into the same image. This would be entirely feasible using my
UV-Micro-Nikkor 105 mm f/4.5 lens. I have already calibrated the meter of my
Nikon F5 bodies to respond properly to UV and thus am now in a position to
to real-time UV photography using the UV-Nikkor in conjunction with the
UV-IR flash unit SB-140 from Nikon.
