I started with an el cheapo black bag that worked great for IR, but as
you say, it keeps getting in the way. I then purchased a Calumet dome
type bag (made by Photoflex). After using it on a trip and noticing
some of my IR film (ones loaded in the field) seemed to be fogged, I
decide to test it.
I sat out on the back porch in full sunlight with a sheet of IR and one
of Tmax for 10 minutes. Nothing like being hard on the bag. When I
developed both, the Tmax was clear and the IR was fully exposed. So
much for progress. I'm now experimenting with reloading old Velvia
Quickloads with IR - at least their IR proof.
