Russell -

The five dots indeed do indicate that the slide is IR proof.  I've not
had any problems with my Riteway holders, but have been told that
Fidelity holders without the dots will leak badly.  If you have wooden
holders, I wouldn't bother trying, as they should leak badly.  The dots
refer to the slides only, but since it sounds like you have gotten a
mix, it would be a good idea to run a test.  No need to use a full sheet
for each holder, just cut a sheet into as many holders you have.  Put a
piece into each holder, take them out into the sun, and find out for
yourself.  If you find the wooden ones to NOT leak and/or the others TO
leak, please let us all know.  I've never seen otherwise, but I've
certainly not seen everything. <g>
