HIE in a Ricoh GR1?

Hello,

I just bought a Ricoh GR1 and I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can use IR
film in it.  It looks like it might have an IR sensor to count the sprocket
holes on the film.  Does anyone know what to look for to determine if it has
a sensor.  

BTW, the GR1 is a great camera.
