Also several years ago, I got similar results shooting at a waterfall in
Virginia in the summer.  I was using 4x5 HIE and a #25 filter.  It was
increadibly humid but I just thought I'd made a series of bummers.  The
results are exactly what you describe. A fair warning for the future?
