John, ektachrome infrared can be loaded and unloaded in subdued light with no
harm to the film (the two color image layers sit over the infrared layer).
Also, because the film contains two emulsion layers that record only visible
light, there is no need to refocus. You can use a 72 filter at night over the
flash so as not to be noticed, but the color rendition of  all objects on the
film will  be red.
