Astonishing! Neofin Blue was my standard fine-grain developer (for
Adox KB-14) until some time around 1970, when supplies of one or both
dried up at my regular suppliers either in New York or in the wilds of
New England, depending on the precise year. I thought Neofin or Adox
or both were out of business until mention of them cropped up on this
list. But the thing I remember most clearly was that Neofin Blue was
a compensating developer that, therefore, required that the agitation
*not* be continuous. I never used Neofin Red, which I gather was not
a compensating developer. Could there be some confusion between the
two? Or could today's Neofin Blue be a significantly different
developer?
