Cutting down 70mm film into 120/220 size?

<I......was unaware of this 70mm IR
<film. (though I am sure it would be a lot easier if Kodak made 120/220
<rolls).
A different Kodak rep once told me that they don't make IR film in 120/220 size
because the paper backing doesn't shield IR light well, and fogging of the film
would be a problem. This seems like a weak excuse since Konica is able to
manufacture IR film in 120 size. Perhaps the extra IR sensitivity of Kodak
films makes the paper backing useless? Perhaps a aluminum foil backing paper
would be effective in preventing fogging? I've never used Medium Format gear
so I don't really know if this would be feasible.
Has anybody ever cut down some 70mm IR film from Kodak and used it in a Med.
Format Camera? If so was fogging a problem and how did you avoid it?
Cheers!
