Re:push processing, reducer
I've had so many disasters with processing IR this summer, I've turned to our
town's best pro service. They use Kodak Xtol, and my negs are OK but awfully
thin. The other day I couldn't shoot slow because of a brisk wind, so I had them
push it 1 stop, and the results were great. Does anybody else push Kodak HIE or
Konica IR? Regularly? Also, here's a little goodie: I rediscovered the magic of
Farmer's Reducer (ferrocyanide, I believe) to save a too-dark print. It's an
"after-pill" solution that rescues the whites without fading the blacks. Diane
