I agree with Bill, HIE is a contrasty film by nature (4 stop range). When in
doubt of a situation I would rather ensure shadow detail by overexposure, and
highlite detail by pulling the film. I can always add contrast when printing.
Pushing the film only expands the highlites and does nothing for the shadows.

I disagree that HIE is contrasty (Konica is, however). I would suggest
that one develop their own film, as that's the only way to ensure
consistant results (okay, if you really have faith in the shop then that
might be okay).
