I even managed to use a bag on steep ski slopes, where I was not able
to remove my ski's (well, I could, but that would have caused both
ski's and PhotoTrekker resting on them crashing down....8-)).
Although I like extreme cold weather for skiing (keeps the slopes
nice and quiet), both my hands and my feet (from hanging upside down)
take some time to defrost afterwards. I have been pondering about
insulating the bag....
Loading my EOS-1 is easy, but I also managed to poke through a
shutter, in an attempt to grab the leader....oddly enough it wasn't
broken, but the shutter leafs were in utter distress. I managed to
pry them back in, and in the right order, and the camera worked
flawlessly during the rest of the holidays. Only much later, after I
wanted to test the 'no-EOS lens mounted = body lockup' trick it
jammed permanently....probably only because I dented the leafs in my
repair attempt....my first poking didn't harm them, but grabbing them
with a plier did....
Loading my Horizon 202 panorama camera takes more fiddling....and
the coldest fingers....if anyone is interested, I have a chapter on
my homepage dealing with this (see URL in the footer).

But no matter how frost-bite my fingers, I prefer cold over heat when
using a bag....I hate those sauna's inside when the first loading
attempts fail....8-((

Once I get 70mm and 4x5 going, I probably need a darkload
tent....even with the lights on the Mamiya back is a complicated
puzzle to dis- and re-assemble....
