Note that the old Kodak Infrared film Andy spoke about was a 135-20
configuration, with a very long dummy leader AFAIK. This was one of
the first Kodak IR films, not nearly as sensitive as the current one,
and not called High Speed either!
This difference in both speed and spectral sensitivity makes one wonder
whether replacing only 20cm will do the trick....
Considering that one needs to add more dummy length, it makes sense
to cut the film in half, and probably end up with about 20 frames on
each half....you gain the entire length of the original leader!
