Just a quick point to anyone who wants to try this method, particularly if 
using Kodak film, DON'T make the writing in Biro!
As (most) biro ink becomes transparent to IR light.  The best
thing to use would be a soft pencil as carbon absorbs IR.

Just thought I should share this info.
