I'm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and frequently go to the IMAX 3-D theater in
Chicago at Navy Pier. It's a HUGE flat screen with digital stereo and they
provide you with state-of-the-art 3-D viewing glasses that themselves have
small speakers in for added effect. A lot of the effect depends upon the
specific movie, but it's one of the most incredible things I've ever
experienced. You sometimes find yourself unconsciously trying to reach out
and touch things. If you ever get a chance to go to one of these theaters,
definitely go!
Now that I got myself interested, I'm going to try taking some stereoscopic
IR pictures. If they work ok, I'll put them up on my web site and let
everyone know. I'll probably try it with some of the EIR as well.
