Isn't it amazing..."infrared-like" :-)  Reminds me of the old Xerox
commercial...remember the huckster says to the prospective customer: "It's
just as good as a Xerox!"  That's what can be said of both Konica and Ilford
when it comes to their valiant attempts at mimicking HIE.  There is no match,
SORRY!

Infrared Photography by its very name implies capturing light that exists in
that part of the near-infrared spectrum which the film designed for it can
detect and that the human eye cannot.  The combination of HIE or HSI and an
87C or similiar opaque filter is the purist's way to capture the true beauty
that exists in the world of infrared light.

Anything else is a compromise...Comments?  Regards, Mike
