Hi everybody!

I've just sbscribed to your mailinglist two days ago and I was urged to
introduce myself so here goes...

My name is Benoit Doloreux. I'm from the greater Montreal region in the
province of Quebec in Canada.

I work as an educator in a high school not far from my place forty hours
a week and I run a small graphic arts company part time. That's how I
got introduce to photography actually! I did a small, shitty paid job
for this theatre cie who was just starting and who were activally
seeking for cheap student labor. They got the services of a student in
photography who not only happy to give me is pictures one week from the
deadline, framed the shots horribly and it fitted my design work as much
as cod with vanilla ice cream. I was pissed so I decided to get me a 35
mm and offer photography to my customers. They find it quite convenient
and more economical!

I'm not sure what my preferred subjects are. I'm still exploring but I
seem to enjoy shooting concerts and landscapes. I loooove music and I
have a strange fascination for musicians. Actually, I was thinking of
taking street musicians for a long term project. I love landscapes but
They often look the same...

...ence my curiosity for infrared photography. Although I didn't try any
of the films save for the Ilford SFX last april. The new color
ektachrome is quite expensive ($20 can) and is tricky to process 'cause
some of the machines still let through some light which fogs the film.
Any insight on that guys? We can't get Kodaks High speed in Montreal,
they seem to be back order.

For gear, I use a Nikon F3 with a 50mm1.4, 35mm2.0 and a 105mm2.5.
Obviously, it's a 35 mm format, but to tell you the truth, if I would
win 10 grans at the loto, I would get me a Mamiya 6 system right away!

I found out about the list on the web site of the guy who runs it.

Other strange hobbies would include...not much strange actually. I like
to hang out with my Airedale Zut, my daughter Jade and my wife Caroline.

Well, maybe I got zealous here by writing my story...looks like a great
list!

B.
